Tips From JJ (Oct '16) Re-Framing Negative to Positive Have you noticed more negativity surrounding you? How is this affecting you and your way of life? Does it make you fearful or anxious? Does it affect how you deal with your internal and external customers? SOLUTIONS The more negativity you experience on a daily basis the more negative thoughts you’ll have. Your thoughts are powerfully attracting what you think about every day! You're bombarded by the media and people around you talking about what's going wrong in the workplace and the world! The current political situation has added to it to increase your concerns. To cope with the negativity, you need to be more selective about what you watch on TV, what you read in the newspapers and on line, and who you listen to in your surroundings. My husband and I stopped listening to the 6:00 news at dinner and now play background music instead. We’ve found it better for our digestion, interaction, relaxation and positivity. Yesterday, I had the pleasure of watching a video from Stacy Weber’s free on-line Freedom and Joy Women’s Summit. It was the 11th day of her 21 days of interviewing experts who talk about how to get more joy and freedom. Her guest was Diane MacDonald, founder of Woman Alive, who talked about how to train yourself to have more positive thoughts so you attract positivity instead of negativity. (Click on link to the Summit below.) This is the Law of Attraction! What you think about is what you attract! Your thoughts are that powerful! MacDonald stated that what you say to yourself and others is important and to recognize and understand that you can manage your thoughts!
She also talked about breaking patterns and habits you have with a simple exercise of intention. Example: Have the intention to bring more daily pleasure into your life. Then look for pleasures throughout your day. Talk about it, think about it, appreciate it, expect it, enjoy it. Before long, you’ll have developed a habit of expecting and finding positive things that bring you pleasure and joy! Since the interview I’ve been looking for pleasures every day and have found them! I also noticed that my thoughts were more positive and it was fun looking for more pleasures. That led to wanting to make other people around me feel good too. And that led to doing something nice for someone unexpectedly. It became a chain reaction of good feelings! Now that’s what The Law of Attraction tells you is your ultimate goal — great feelings of well being and energy! And the better it gets, the better it gets! Then you’re on a roll! Another expert from Stacy Weber’s Summit interviews was Penney Peirce. She specializes in intuition development and inner energy dynamics and transformation. She emphasized the advantages of getting on a higher level of inner energy and that others would get on that same wave length with you. She said, "The preferred state is when you feel happy, amazed, inspired and really liking yourself." She also said, “Women are getting energy information overload and they need to Stop and Drop because they’re not in the moment!” Peirce tells you to pause for a few minutes and quietly tap into your right brain. She said, “In the left brain is language and your self talk. In the right brain is where intuition opens up and you get direct knowing. It’s an inner process. To get recharged, stop, let go, just be!” "Get into the quiet time for innovation and things will come to you — and do trust your own ideas.” Remember how you feel in your preferred state, and then strive to stay in it throughout the day! What does this have to do with customer service and sales? Everything! Try it and you’ll see the results!
